Law School Rankings 2018

The 2018 U.S. News and World Report’s Best Law Schools rankings have been released and Yale Law School was ranked 1st in the nation, followed by Stanford University in 2nd place and Harvard University in 3rd place.

The University of Wisconsin Law School was ranked 30th among the nation’s law schools. This year’s ranking represents a climb for the Law School, up from 33rd overall last year.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) School of Law was ranked No. 39 out of 197 law schools listed in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 edition of “America’s Best Graduate Schools”. In the specialty areas ranking, the law school’s Research, Reasoning, Writing and Advocacy (RRWA) program, now in its sixth year as a full-year, six-credit program, ranked No. 18 in legal writing.

The University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Law moved up 11 points to 54th place in the U.S. News & World Report 2018 list of Best Law Schools. The law school’s scores increased in seven different factors weighed in the ranking, including reputational scores, admissions selectivity, certain entering class board scores and GPA averages, and in particular, post-degree employment.

Northeastern University School of Law moved up an impressive 17 spots to 65th in the 2018 US News & World Report rankings. In the specialty rankings, US News ranked the law school’s health program 14th and the school’s clinical program 30th.
