Lindenwood University is a private, coeducational, liberal arts university in Missouri, USA.

The University has the following Academic Schools: School of American Studies, School of Business and Entrepreneurship, School of Communications, School of Education, School of Fine and Performing Arts, School of Human Services, School of Humanities, School of Science, College of Individualized Education.

Lindenwood University has been continuously accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1918.  The University is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The Athletic Training Program has been continuously accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) since 2003.The University's course-based business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) accreditation. The Social Work program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

The School of Education is a member in “Good Standing” with the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC). It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and its Ed.D. application was adopted by HLC as a model for other institutions.
